Milspouse Matters Episode 54 with Kaci Jones of Yellow Ribbon Box
On today’s episode I am joined by Kaci Jones, veteran, military spouse, and founder of Yellow Ribbon Box, and we’re talking all things deployment support.
Deployment support is always a big topic for military spouses, so we’re going to dive into that. But first, welcome to episode 54! As always, I’d love it if you subscribed AND left a 5-star rating and review on whatever podcast player you’re using! And if you’ve read and enjoyed my book for military spouses, You Are Not Alone: Encouragement for the Heart of a Military Spouse, I’d be so grateful if you left a 5-star rating on Amazon. Thank you so much! And remember, if you leave a review, I’ll give you a shoutout on the show!

On this episode, I’m talking to Kaci Jones of Yellow Ribbon Box. Kaci is a veteran and also the spouse of an active duty Air Force member. When she decided to separate from active duty herself in order to spend more time with her daughter, she knew she wanted to continue to give back and serve. That’s when she decided to start a small non-profit supporting military spouses and military spouse and veteran owned businesses.
How Yellow Ribbon Box Provides Deployment Support
Yellow Ribbon Box, which is a 501c3 Texas Non-Profit Corporation, has a mission to support military members, veterans, and their families. One way they provide deployment support is through their Yellow Ribbon Box care packages. These care packages not only boost the morale of military spouses but they also showcase products created by military spouse and veteran owned businesses!
With COVID and PCS season, Yellow Ribbon Box took a step back, as COVID impacted many of the small businesses who donate to the boxes. Now that life is getting back to normal, they’re setting and meeting goals to get more care packages to spouses.

For more information about donating to Yellow Ribbon Box, requesting a box, sponsoring, or planning a fundraiser, connect with them via their website or social media:
Kaci also shares some of her tips for getting through deployment, and answers my ‘quick 5’ –5 fun questions to help you learn more about her. Find out which fictional family she’d choose to be a part of!
