Milspouse Matters Episode 28 with Ashley Gammon
On this episode, we’re talking about self-care for military spouses!
As spouses, our own health can sometimes take the back burner, especially in light of other pressing issues, like an impending PCS or deployment. This is your reminder that you’re important, too!
Join Jen as she talks to Ashley Gammon about giving ourselves permission to take time to refuel, ask for help, and find ways to incorporate self care, even if you’re a busy mom with lots of little ones.
As Ashley reminds us, “You matter. You’re important.”
Ashley is a seasoned Army wife, mom of three beautiful girls, and a passionate military spouse on a mission. She has a background in health and is a certified personal trainer, MUTU Pro, and M.O.M.S. (Military Outreach Mutu System) Community manager. This program promotes pelvic floor and core health for women in pre and postpartum stages of life. Ashley empowers women to put their health first and improve quality of life in the process. When she isn’t busy with that, you can usually find her outdoors in the country, sipping hot coffee, while enjoying the calm of rural life in Michigan.
We talk about ways you carve out time for self-care, some of the pelvic floor and core issues Ashley experienced herself—and what she did about them—as well as suggestions for finding time for your own health if you’re alone, recently moved, or don’t feel like you can give yourself permission to focus on you. Military spouse, you matter!!
