Jen McDonald's lifelong love for words was ignited in second grade

when she discovered her school’s library, and she’s had her nose in a book ever since. From those days of reading everything she could get her hands on, including the backs of cereal boxes while she ate breakfast before school, she went on to pen hundreds of articles and earn recognition as an award-winning author of two nonfiction books. Fueled by her passion for storytelling, Jen is embarking on a thrilling new chapter in her journey as she ventures into writing fiction!

Jen is an experienced writer and has also worked as a professional editor for nearly 15 years. Her writing has appeared in publications such as Good Housekeeping, Redbook,, Military Spouse Magazine, Stars & Stripes, and numerous others. Her expertise has also led her to be featured on various podcasts and radio programs.

After three decades as a military spouse, she became the community’s biggest cheerleader with her books and podcast for military spouses, Milspouse Matters. After globe-trotting and raising four fantastic kids with her Air Force veteran hubby, they’ve finally put down roots in Texas and are relishing their newfound titles as doting grandparents. She’s excited to spin new tales and hopes you’ll come along for the ride!
